Sabrina

Sabrina Salerno was born on March 15, 1968, in Genoa, Italy. She began her career at a young age in modeling, winning the titles of Miss Lido and Miss Liguria, before transitioning to television in 1986 as a showgirl on the program Premiatissima. That same year, she released her debut single “Sexy Girl,” produced by Claudio Cecchetto, which charted in both Italy and Germany.

In 1987, her track “Boys (Summertime Love)” became a massive hit across Europe and South America, establishing her as an international sex symbol. She followed up with more hit songs like “All of Me” and “My Chico,” eventually selling over 20 million records worldwide.

Alongside her music career, Sabrina appeared on numerous television shows such as Odiens, Bellezze sulla neve, and Cocco di mamma. She also explored acting, performing in theater and film in both Italy and internationally—including roles in Bollywood productions.

In the 1990s, she diversified her musical style, releasing Italian-language songs like “Maschio dove sei,” and began developing a more personal artistic direction. She continued to innovate with European productions such as “Rockawillie” and “Angel Boy.”

Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, Sabrina returned to the spotlight with successful tours, especially in France’s Zénith arenas and at the Stade de France, taking part in the RFM Party 80 shows and the films Stars 80 and Stars 80, la suite.

In 2010, she recorded “Call Me” as a duet with Samantha Fox, marking a highly anticipated collaboration. She also hosted the show Mitici ‘80 on Italia 1.

Sabrina continued her career with the project “Colour Me,” released in 2014 in collaboration with American producer Rick Nowels. Still highly active, she appeared in the film Modalità Aereo (2019) and remained on tour with Stars 80, performing in major stadiums across France.

Today, Sabrina Salerno remains a key figure in Italian pop and dance music, with a rich, dynamic, and ever-evolving career.
